اللّهُلاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ لاَ تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلاَ نَوْمٌ لَّهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ مَن ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِنْدَهُ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِهِ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلاَيُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلاَّ بِمَا شَاء وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ وَلاَ يَؤُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ ﴿۲۵۵﴾ هيچ معبودي نيست جز خداوند يگانه زنده، كه قائم به ذات خويش است، و موجودات ديگر، قائم به او هستند، هيچگاه خواب سبك و سنگينياو را فرا نميگيرد، (و لحظهاي از تدبير جهان هستي، غافل نميماند،) آنچه در آسمانها و آنچه در زمين است، از آن اوست، كيست كه در نزد او، جز به فرمان او شفاعت كند؟! (بنابراين، شفاعت شفاعت كنندگان، براي آنها كهشايسته شفاعت اند، از مالكيت مطلقه او نميكاهد). آنچه را در پيش روي آنها ( بندگان) و پشت سرشان است ميداند، (و گذشته و آينده، در پيشگاه علم او، يكسان است). و كسي از علم او آگاه نميگردد، جز به مقداريكه او بخواهد. (اوست كه به همه چيز آگاه است، و علم و دانش محدود ديگران، پرتوي از علم بيپايان و نامحدود اوست). تخت (حكومت) او، آسمانها و زمين را در بر گرفته، و نگاهداري آن دو ( آسمان و زمين)، او راخسته نميكند. بلندي مقام و عظمت، مخصوص اوست.

QARIB: allah, there is no god except he, the living, the everlasting. neither dozing, nor sleep overtakes him. to him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth. who is he that shallintercede with him except by his permission! he knows what will be before their hands and what was behind them, and they do not comprehend anything of his knowledge except what he willed. his seat embraces the heavens and the earth, and the preserving of them does notweary him. he is the high, the great. |
SHAKIR: allah is he besides whom there is no god, the everliving, the self-subsisting by whom all subsist; slumber does not overtake him nor sleep; whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is his; whois he that can intercede with him but by his permission? he knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they cannot comprehend anything out of his knowledge except what he pleases, his knowledge extends over the heavens and theearth, and the preservation of them both tires him not, and he is the most high, the great |
PICKTHAL: allah! there is no deity save him, the alive, the eternal. neither slumber nor sleep overtaketh him. unto him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. who is he that intercedethwith him save by his leave? he knoweth that which is in front of them and that which is behind them, while they encompass nothing of his knowledge save what he will. his throne includeth the heavens and the earth, and he is never weary of preserving them. he is the sublime, the tremendous. |
YUSUFALI: allah! there is no god but he,-the living, the self-subsisting, eternal. no slumber can seize him nor sleep. his are all thingsin the heavens and on earth. who is there can intercede in his presence except as he permitteth? he knoweth what (appeareth to his creatures as) before or after or behind them. nor shall they compass aught of his knowledge except as he willeth. his throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and he feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for he is the mosthigh, the supreme in glory |
لاَ إِكْرَاهَ فِي الدِّينِ قَد تَّبَيَّنَ الرُّشْدُ مِنَ الْغَيِّ فَمَنْ يَكْفُرْ بِالطَّاغُوتِ وَيُؤْمِن بِاللّهِ فَقَدِ اسْتَمْسَكَ بِالْعُرْوَةِ الْوُثْقَىَ لاَ انفِصَامَ لَهَا وَاللّهُسَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ ﴿۲۵۶﴾
در قبول دين، اكراهي نيست. (زيرا) راه درست از راه انحرافي، روشن شده است. بنابراين، كسي كهبه طاغوت (بت و شيطان، و هر موجود طغيانگر) كافر شود و به خدا ايمان آورد، به دستگيره محكمي چنگ زده است، كه گسستن برايآن نيست. و خداوند، شنوا و داناست.

QARIB: there is no compulsion in religion. righteousness is now distinct from error. he who disbelieves in the idol and believes inallah has grasped the firmest tie that will never break. allah is hearing, knowing. |
SHAKIR: there is no compulsion in religion;truly the right way has become clearly distinct from error; therefore, whoever disbelieves in the shaitan and believes in allah he indeed has laid hold on thefirmest handle, which shall not break off, and allah is hearing, knowing |
PICKTHAL: there is no compulsion in religion. the right direction is henceforth distinct fromerror. and he who rejecteth false deities and believeth in allah hath grasped a firm handhold which will never break. allah is hearer, knower. |
YUSUFALI: let there be no compulsion in religion: truth stands out clear from error: whoever rejects evil and believes in allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that neverbreaks. and allah heareth and knoweth allthings. |
اللّهُ وَلِيُّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ يُخْرِجُهُم مِّنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّوُرِ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ أَوْلِيَآؤُهُمُ الطَّاغُوتُ يُخْرِجُونَهُم مِّنَ النُّورِإِلَى الظُّلُمَاتِ أُوْلَئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ هُمْفِيهَا خَالِدُونَ ﴿۲۵۷﴾
خداوند، ولي و سرپرست كساني است كه ايمان آوردهاند، آنها رااز ظلمتها، به سوي نور بيرون ميبرد. (اما) كساني كه كافر شدند، اولياي آنها طاغوتها هستند، كهآنها را از نور، به سوي ظلمتها بيرون ميبرند، آنها اهل آتش اند و هميشه در آنخواهند ماند.

QARIB: allah is the guardian of those whobelieve. he brings them out from darkness into the light. as for those who disbelieve, their guides are idols, they bring them out from the light into darkness. they are the companions of the fire and shall live in it for ever. |
SHAKIR: allah is the guardian of those who believe. he brings them outof the darkness into the light; and (as to) those who disbelieve, their guardians are shaitans who takethem out of the light into the darkness; they are the inmates of the fire, in it they shall abide |
PICKTHAL: allah is the protecting guardian of those who believe. he bringeth them out of darkness into light. as for those who disbelieve, their patrons are false deities. they bring them out of light into darkness. such are rightful owners of the fire. they will abide therein. |
YUSUFALI: allah is the protector of those who have faith: from the depths of darkness he will lead them forth into light. of those who reject faith the patrons are the evil ones: from light they will lead them forth into the depths of darkness. they will be companions of the fire, to dwell therein for ever |
